Flint, Mi - At the end of last week, official word came in. The fourth recall attempt on Councilwoman Dr. Ladel Lewis has failed. I reached out to her for a comment, and she stated she would like to release this statement in full.

Once again, another attempt to recall me has failed, marking the fourth time this effort has fallen flat. This latest attempt, much like the others, has proven to be nothing more than political theater—an unnecessary distraction from the real issues that matter to the people of Flint. While these misguided efforts continue to waste taxpayer time and resources, I remain focused on the important work we are doing for this community—clean water, safe streets, and economic growth. Instead of pushing endless recalls, perhaps it's time for those behind these actions to find more meaningful ways to support our city. I remain committed to serving the people of Flint with integrity, resilience, and the dedication they deserve.
