Flint, Mi – Flint's Daughter Claressa Shields once again proves why she’s pound for pound the actual #GWOAT. With an on-fire Dort Financial Center hometown crowd screaming, "WHOOP THAT TRICK", Shields (16-0) delivered a barn burner, securing a victory over Danielle Perkins (5-1). With the win, Shields became the only boxer ever, male or female, to achieve undisputed status in three different weight classes.

Even with a heavy reliance on her right arm due to an injury in training camp, that she revealed in her post fight interview, the 10-round fight saw Shields use her speed and precision to outclass Perkins at every turn. Perkins, to her credit, stood tall against the pressure, showing flashes of resilience and striking power in the later rounds. But in the final moments of the fight, a strong right hook from Shields sent Perkins to the mat, capping off another dominant fight for Flint’s champion.

In the Co-Main Event Skylar Lacy (8-1-2) simply could not handle Brandon Moore (17-1). Moore attempted to box, but as Lacy fatigued, the fight devolved into a wrestling match. The crowd voiced their frustration, and commentators openly questioned whether the referee would step in. It finally boiled over when Lacy pushed Moore through the ropes, sending him crashing into the announcers’ table and causing its collapse. The referee had seen enough, disqualifying Lacy. What do we think, did Brandon Moore make Skylar Lacy his wife?

The fight between Joshua Pagan (12-0) and Ronal Ramirez (16-8) was an exciting back and forth battle of attrition. When Josh entered to Stone Cold Steve Austin's theme song, I knew he'd put on a show.

Pagan remained active and aggressive through the fight, but his low guard gave Ramirez too many openings. It makes for an exciting fight, but it feels like Pagan will need to address this as he climbs in rank. Despite his high output, his stamina never faltered, and he looked strong late into the fight. He handled some tough moments against an opponent who refused to give up.

The second fight of the night saw Sammy Worthington (11-0) face off against Vaida Masiokaite (10-27-6). This fight went the distance. Vaida was able to connect with Sammy as she would enter into reach, but once Sammy was able to make it inside Vaida’s reach, she was able to land enough to the body to make up for it over the entirety of the match.

From the opening bell to Shields’ crowning moment, the night was a showcase of fire and grit. Flint stood behind its favorite daughter, and the #GWOAT, as always, delivered.
