What is the OHL?

Flint, Mi - The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) is one of the three ice hockey leagues that make up the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), along with the Western Hockey League (WHL) and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). The OHL features teams primarily from Ontario, but also includes some from the United States.

The OHL is a developmental league for players aged 16 to 20 and is often referred to as the "Gateway to the NHL". It's created stars like Mickey Redmond, Steve Yzerman, Wayne Gretzky, Sydney Crosby and many more. The season typically runs from September to the spring, culminating in the OHL playoffs, with the winning team competing for the Memorial Cup, the ultimate championship for major junior hockey in Canada.
